Greetings Ron,

The venerable Mary of Agreda had the following prophecy:

It was revealed to me that through the intercession of the Mother of God, all heresies will disappear. This victory over heresies has been reserved by Christ for His Blessed Mother...Before the Second Coming of Christ, Mary must, more than ever, shine in mercy, might and grace in order to bring unbelievers into the Catholic Faith."

Mary is shining in mercy in Medjugorje since 3 decades ( she constantly repeats that this is a time of grace) and mary said in medjugorje that these apparitions will be the last apparitions for her on earth ( as "long and worldwide" apparitions).

My question is: if we try to reconcile Mary of agreda prophecy (especially the bold part) and Medjugorje apparitions, we find striking similarities, however, and according to your escathological timetable, after the end of Medjugorje apparitions centuries will come till the second coming of christ, in addition to the fact (always according to your escathology) that Mary will not have a major role before the beginning of the second part of the tribulation (in terms of apparitions)...

Bottom line, if we reconcile the prophecy of Mary of Agreda and medjugorje, we find that Medjugorje appairitions ( the longlasting apparitions, the time of mercy, Mary shining) will precede the second coming...

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Your conclusion does not follow from your premises.
Nothing that was said at Medjugorje or by Mary of Agreda implies that the Return of Jesus has to occur soon.
Any further posts arguing to this point will be deleted.

Heresies begin to disappear during the first part of the tribulation, when the Protestant Churches repent of their heresies and unite with the Catholic Church (early 2020's)

There will be a great Ecumenical Council (mid 2028 to late 2032) that will take further steps to abolish heresies.

Then the Three Days of Darkness and the holiness of the subsequent time will vanquish all major heresies.

All members:

when posting on eschatology or on any other topic in theology, please do not hastily draw a conclusion without ample study and support, especially when the conclusion is a serious matter, such as the Return of Jesus.

My own work in eschatology is based on many years of study and writing in eschatology, and many years of study of theology in general and of the Bible. Although my speculative theology is fallible, it is based on much study, prayer, thought, and knowledge.

If you have not similarly spent much time studying a topic in theology, you should not be presenting conclusions or new ideas or speculations in this group.

If members continue to post arguments or conclusions on serious topics, such as claims about the return of Jesus, with little basis, I will close the topic, or delete posts, or take other action as needed to keep the discussion within reasonable limits.
