Here is a clear example of false private revelation:

the members of this prayer group respond to the 'visions' with convulsions and vomitting; one girl began smashing windows with her fist until her hand bled from cuts; messages claim Jesus is returning soon.

the girl's cut hand is a claimed miracle by the group, because the color of the blood was a yellowish hue.

a diocesan spokesperson said they are 'keeping an open mind.' Really? Why?

keeping an open mind is a code phrase for indifference, in my opinion.

such lurid, obviously un-Christlike antics reflect poorly on all supernatural revelation, whether genuine or counterfeit.

when authorities allow such occult-like frenzy to be received with an open mind, they fail in their duty of leadership and proper discernment, they lend credence to what is at best fraudulent, at worst a real danger to souls. People have such an appetite for "phenomena" who will warn that they can be led away into a terrible delusion? It should be the authorities--but they are blind, leading the blind, and together they fall into a ditch

Joan, I completely agree.

When you open the door like this to evil spirits, you are opening up the window to terrible suffering, and even possession. This scares me like nothing else. The church is obligated to pursue and clearly explain to the faithful how truly dangerous this is.

How else could a demon make you violently vomit, unless you were allowing your body to become possessed? If this is true, the real deception is to not completely possess someone, and watch the following grow, which it is.
