also: I picked up a United States (civil preparedness type from 1960s) issued geiger counter on Amazon for about $15 or less. Its an old fashion type but detects gamma rays and works fine. Its the exact same type as is shown (in yellow) on the cover of your book regarding radiation exposure.

I highly recommend that everyone get Ron's book on radiation exposure, etc. You can get peace of mind relatively cheap. :)

I use Arrowhead Mills organic enriched white unbleached flour.
My recipe for bread requires no kneading (adapted from online sources)

In a large glass bowl, mix:
2 teaspoons yeast
2 teaspoons salt
1-3/4 cups water at about 110 to 125 degrees F

Stir until yeast is thoroughly dissolved

Add 2 cups flour
stir well
allow to rise for 1 hour

Then stir in 1 additional cup of flour
and allow to rise for 1 additional hour

Fold into non-stick 5x9 bread pan
allow to rise for 1 more hour

Place empty metal pan on lower rack
preheat oven to 425
place bread in oven on upper rack
and immediately add 1 cup water to metal pan for steam

bake for 35 minutes

cool and slice

Store the wheat berry, sprout it, crush it, and make Essene bread, no flour and better for you.

who sells: water purification tablets; potassium iodide?

 I'm looking for a deal on water purification tablets and
potassium iodide.

Does anyone know a place that sells these items (off or online)
@ a reasonable price?

I wouldn't use water purification tablets. They're not that effective. and they make the water taste bad.

I have purchased these tablets at Amazon

They are 32.5 mg, which is a good size. here's the dosing info:

Hi Ron,
just a note about your November 24 last post on this subject. But that second website link points to an issue for adults:

"Adults older than 40 years should not take KI (potassium iodide) unless public health or emergency management officials say that contamination with a very large dose of radioactive iodine is expected.
ĽAdults older than 40 years have the lowest chance of developing thyroid cancer or thyroid injury after contamination with radioactive iodine.
ĽAdults older than 40 are more likely to have allergic reactions to or adverse effects from KI."

Or an emergency would moot this latter concern about adults... ?

No, those concerns specifically apply to emergency situations. Adults over 40 really do not need KI tablets, and there will most likely be a short supply. So give the tablets to children and younger adults.
