OK, we are up and running on the new host and new server.
Currently, I'm having the problem that the site works as
http://www.catholicplanet.net

but not without the www

http://catholicplanet.net

I'm hoping to resolve that problem soon.

Default A Good Move

My initial experience with the new site seems to indicate better performance and response time. I think the move was a good idea.

Any links in any past posts that have
http://catholicplanet.net
are not currently working because they lack the www.

The same is true for any bookmarks. For now, you'll have to add the www.

http://www.catholicplanet.net

Hopefully I'll have this problem solved soon.

Great, Ron! It's so much faster now. It was well worth it. By the way, it seems to be working as catholicplanet.net. I didn't have to type in www.

Yes, thanks, it is all working correctly now.

The new hosting company was very helpful in setting everything up. It is complicated to move a site with a database and php scripts to a new host.

thanks to all the members for your patience.

Cool

Nice..., the increase of the access speed is very significant, now I think it's faster 200%-300% from the old one or 2-3 times faster from the old one, it's so fast now, good..good..
