The Iranian president visited N.Korea in the last few months. Is it co-incidental that N.Korea is to forefront of news now with it's imminent missile/rocket test.

So far, we knew that even if Iran has it's first nuke within the next month or so, we were a little relaxed in the knowledge that they would not have a long-range missile delivery system for another few years and more importantly the ability to reduce the nuke to a scale which could fit atop one of their own missiles.

Are we looking at a scenario whereby N.Korea will supply the ICBM delivery system (a larger one that the Iranians currently possess) in exchange, perhaps for Iran's nuclear technology or even a completed nuke. An Iranian nuke on top of a N.Korean ICBM launched from N.Korea or Iran could move the threat forward by a considerable time margin - like, being a viable threat to the U.S. this very year.

It may be a bit far-fetched but I am just trying to ensure that all the bases are covered. I would hate to see these guys outflank us. What do you think Ron.

According to the IAEA Nov 2011 report, Iran started out designing their nuke of a site that would fit on a missile. That is why they went the much more difficult route of developing an implosion nuke, rather than the gun/bullet type that is much larger, but easier to make.

China has been helping Iran with its missile development program. China is probably also helping North Korea with their missiles. So the source of much of this dangerous technology is China.

I don't believe the claim that Russia is massing troops on its border with Iran. Any attack on Iran by Israel or the U.S. will not involve troops, but air attacks instead. It would not make sense to put troops on that northern border. Also, none of the mainstream media outlets are reporting such a massing of troops.

Only the headline of the article makes such a claim. Actually the entire article never makes such a claim. Rather it only refers to the preparation of a possible plan:

"The Russian military anticipates that an attack will occur on Iran by the summer and has developed an action plan to move Russian troops through neighboring Georgia to stage in Armenia, which borders on the Islamic republic..."

No doubt, they also have sketched up a few other possible responses.

The next round will take place in Baghdad on 23 May.
They have just bought themselves another six weeks approx.

Israel cannot afford this time-wasting and they are probably already too late to do anything effective about it, at least unilaterally.

There is no chance the U.S. will consider helping with a strike on Iran whilst these talks are happening. So, no possible U.S. help for at least six more weeks.

There may be more chance now that Israel will go it alone within the next few weeks.

I think that Iran will have at least a couple of nukes by June. So the May meeting just needs to buy them about another month or so.
