Default CDF on SSPX

A new statement from the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith says that the SSPX is in a state of formal schism and their bishops and priests are suspended from offering the Sacraments. He said that a "restoration of full communion would require the SSPX to accept the authority of the Church and of the Pope."

Pope Benedict XVI, some time ago, lifted the juridical excommunication of the SSPX. But they remain automatically excommunicated, because they continue in a state of schism. I add that the SSPX are also in a state of formal heresy, since they reject the dogma of the indefectibility of the Church as well as all of those teachings, since Vatican II, which are infallible under the ordinary and universal Magisterium.
