Two questions:

1. Do you agree with the authorís theory is that God has visited warnings and /
or judgment against the United States according to a seven-year cycle
(of the Shemitah) going back many decades?

2. Has the idea of the Shemitah seven-year cycle influenced any of your eschatology?

I strongly disagree. There is no 7-year or other cycle to the work of God in this world. He is constantly at work calling everyone to repentance and salvation.

Judgment occurs after death. God does not judge and punish in this life, although his providence does at times assist the faithful and does at times thwart unrepentant grave sinners.

I should add that when the Tribulation begins, those events -- prophesied in Sacred Scripture -- are a judgment and punishment on the world. But there is no seven-year cycle of judging and/or punishing
