Default Marino Restrepo: illumination of conscience.

Ron:

I was searching through YouTube when I found this video of Marino Restrepo. I looked him up on the internet and found out he speaks at many Catholic churches about his near death experience.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXLUwoiqjmk

As I began listing to what he had to say, he caught my attention at 4:40 when he said the following:

“I went through this mystical experience with the Lord.
First a illumination of conscience where I was awake an conscience, and then I went into a vision where I was put through a trial….”

He said many interesting things, but in the end, the result of this experience is that he was able to see how the Church militant, the Church suffering, and the Church triumphant all work together.

Do you think Marino’s experience is what we will experience during the Warning? Is his illumination of conscience and vision the same thing? This is a very interesting insight.

Who is Marino Restrepo?

“Marino was born in Colombia and left the Christian faith at the age of 14 embracing many New Age and pagan philosophies. He categorically rejected any existence of hell and satan and for him, God was merely a cosmic life energy ‘force’.
Then suddenly all that changed, Marino was kidnapped by Colombian terrorists and during his captivity in brutal circumstances he underwent a near death and profound conversion experience.
But for the grace of God Marino would have ended up in hell for all eternity but instead he was given a treasure trove of infused knowledge from Jesus and his blessed Mother and many mysteries of the Kingdom of God were revealed to him.’

I don't believe that he was given "infused knowledge". There is no theological basis for such a claim. There are more than a few persons who go around preaching based on their own near-death experiences (NDE). But the true Gospel is based on Tradition, Scripture, Magisterium.

I would disregard this type of preacher.
