The current calendar system assumes that 1 A.D. is the year of the first anniversary of the Incarnation of Christ -- ab incarnatione Domini ('from the Incarnation of the Lord').

But if Christ was born conceived and born in 15 BC, as i am saying, then
14 BC would be year one, and 1 BC would be year 14. 1AD would then be year 15. So just add 14 to the current year: 2012 becomes the 2026th year since the Incarnation of Christ.
