Default This is the 2nd group

Sister Briege McKenna and her spiritual advisors recently took a similiar action.

I noted their departure, also. It seems to me that when something (or someone) is big and quasi-influential to a lot of people, a little clarification might not hurt!

Default facts that cast doubt

I know this is an old thread, but someone in my parish has been promoting her and I did some digging.

Apparently she lied about the imprimatur for her books, despite not even needing one, financially supported a pro-LGBT political candidate, and seems to endorse same-sex relationships.

I also found out a bit of info on Fr. Scallon and Sr. Briege removing their endorsements. Fr. Scallon said he doubted the authenticity of the messages. Sr. Briege's niece, through her job, encountered financial information about the DFOT organization that she felt was grounds for grave concern about the aims and/or management of the organization.

Default Anne. Links please

Hi eebee

Can you supply links/evidence of these "facts"
Especially the imprimatur claim.
Ron Conte lists this visionary as "true", so it is important to check this.

Many thanks.
God bless.

Default didn't see request for more info until today

So, I came here to check on something and noticed I was asked quite a while ago for evidence of the claims against Anne A Lay Apostle.

A summary can be found at

There was also a set of emails between her and a friend who, at least at the time, was the CFO for Direction For Our Times, the organization that Ms. Clarke founded to accept donations and sell her books. Ms. Clarke's emails contained disturbing sentiments and language, and suggested that her motive for starting the ministry after returning from Medjugorje may have been mainly financial. I couldn't find a link today but will keep looking.

After a discussion on a Catholic forum about problems with the claimed imprimatur (the organization refused to name Ms. Clarke's bishop; the imprimatur was from a bishop in the Phillipines who had retired before granting the imprimatur; the imprimatur was not from Ms. Clarke's bishop; and the organization claimed that the books were being printed in the Phillipines, thus justifying the imprimatur), someone who worked for the publishing company weighed in. He said that the books were never published in the Phillipines.

Some additional info here:

Some of this discussion is preserved here, by the publishing company employee:
