Default General Soleimani's Death

Ron:

The killing of Iranian top general Soleimani has brought up a few of questions I have. I'm hoping you can help me understand from a Catholic perspective.

1. Was the President morally justified in having the general killed?
2. Does the Unites States military have a right to be in that part of the world?
3. Lastly, does this event line up with any of your future predictions?

Thanks

1. Was the President morally justified in having the general killed?

Based on information in the press, it seems he was justified, i.e. it was not murder, but an act of just warfare against an enemy combatant. The general has used terrorist forces to strike at U.S. soldiers and at non-combatants many times. However, the question remains as to whether it was prudent; an act that is anticipated to do more harm than good would still be immoral.

2. Does the Unites States military have a right to be in that part of the world?

That is debatable. My view is that the Muslim extremists represent a grave danger to all nations, as they wish to force the whole world to follow their religion, so it is justified; but that is just my opinion.

3. Lastly, does this event line up with any of your future predictions?

World War 3 is the Muslim nations, led by Iran and Iraq, against the West. It lines up perfectly.

Now that things seem to be falling into place, can you give a rough/quick timeline of the events you anticipate happening in the near or distant future? For instance, is WW3 in the near future or years away?

Thanks
