Default Fr. Gobbi is Dangerous to your Spiritual Health

Something is not right...some master plan of deceit of the devout. But when I hear the Medugorie visionaries mentioning that Mary likes the Poem of the Man God, I wonder. Beware these next few years. Do you know the Vatican has ordered Fr. Gobbi not to use the title, "Our Lady Speaks to her beloved Priests." http://charismatic-heresy.blogspot.c...-fr-gobbi.html

Virgin Mary says the fullness of time "there will come to the completion that fullness of time" ... the preparation is complete and not the completion of Events. It is in that period the beginning of prophesied events will start taking shape.

Hi Jose,

Have you by any chance read Ron's article http://www.catholicplanet.com/apparitions/reply10a.htm
about what he has to say about Fr Gobbi.
I personally have not had time as yet to do my own research on this extraordinary dynamic priest. But if I was to start I would first see if his spiritual life has yielded many fruits? This is a similar test Jesus also used when it came to the fig tree. Some friends of mine have his book, and rave on how much good it is really doing them, and that they get a lot out of it to help them spiritually.
So I can't be presumtuous and simply agree with what other websites are saying to discredit him, without gaining a true independant analysis from where he is coming from first. On the other hand it has been pointed out, time and time again, Private Revelation can be quite fallible to interpretation, even if the locutionist or visionary has tried to interpret the supernatual realm with the best of human intentions.
Rgds

Why not make a theological argument, rather than listing links to site and making some rhetorical comments?

My study of claimed private revelation uses particular criteria to distinguish between true and false private revelation. His messages simply do not have the indicators of false private revelation.

Now it is often the case with true private revelation that some of what is said is difficult to understand. This is because Mary has the Beatific Vision and so her knowledge of the Faith is far above our own.

In fact, here is one reason that many persons mistakenly believe false private revelation: because it accords with their own limited and faulty understanding of the Faith. They don't realize that if a message is from Jesus or Mary that it must have a deeper understanding of the Faith than they themselves have.

And this is the same reason that many persons mistakenly reject true private revelation: because it does not agree with their own limited and faulty understanding of the Faith.

Now we all have a limited and faulty understanding of the Faith, from the Pope to the Bishops to all the priests, deacons, religious, and laity. Only once we receive the Beatific Vision will our understanding be clear and true (but still limited). But in evaluating claimed private revelation, one must humble consider that a message might have an insight into the Faith that might add to or correct our own understanding.

Ron I agree wih you. Also, if father Gobbi's revelations were not true (and I admit those passages quoted above look to be false at first glance) they have not been found dangerous to our soul since they have been given the Church imprimatur and therefore do not go against the churche's teaching. However one is free if to beleive or not. No sin would be made if one beleives or not in a private revelation not condemmed buy the church. Am i right ?
