Default Orkney hermits excommunicated for calling Pope a 'heretic'

All schismatics such as these are automatically excommunicated.

Also, it is a heresy against the indefectibility of the Church to call Her visible head "heretic". A body with a defected visible head is not indefectible. The promise of Christ to Her Bride the Church has not gone to the floor (Ephesians 5:27).

I noticed that the hermits mentioned the great apostasy. They don't seem to realize they are a part of it. The great apostasy does not consist in a Pope going astray, but in many members of the Church going astray. And often apostasy is preceded by schism and heresy.
