Default Snakes gather to "pay respect" to an Icon of our Blessed Mother

From the mountains, poisonous snakes gather each year towards an icon of our Blessed Mother inside a chapel which was a Monastery and they become friendly to people there.

The narrator says that this place was an Orthodox monastery; therefore, in my opinion, it could originally have been a Catholic monastery (taking in consideration that it could have existed even before the schism of some of the Eastern churches). Despite the schism of 1054, the Orthodox churches still have Apostolic Succession.

The Second Council of Nicaea (787 - before the Orthodox schism) infallibly taught that sacred images are to be venerated or respected for what they represent.
