Deep inside, those mockers know that what the Pope says has significance and makes sense for those who really want to discover the meaning of their lives. I hope and pray that little by little they can open their heart to these messages, which are the truth, and welcome God in their lives. Just like any gadget, say a little wrist watch, comes with instruction of how it works, we too come with instructions of how we work better and be a man or woman for good (Those basic instructions are the Ten Commandments).

Quote:
Vatican officials say they believe the risks of mockery are outweighed by the importance of spreading the Catholic message to a younger global audience.

Yes, there are many people out there seeking a word of hope, trying to discover the meaning of their lives, perhaps people at the brink of committing suicide, with the basic questions "who am I?", "why I'm here for?".. etc., etc., "sheep without a pastor" who can find relief in these messages and amend their way of living.

[Luke 15]
{15:1} Now tax collectors and sinners were drawing near to him, so that they might listen to him.
{15:2} And the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, “This one accepts sinners and eats with them.”
{15:3} And he told this parable to them, saying:
{15:4} “What man among you, who has one hundred sheep, and if he will have lost one of them, would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert and go after the one whom he had lost, until he finds it?
{15:5} And when he has found it, he places it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
{15:6} And returning home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them: ‘Congratulate me! For I have found my sheep, which had been lost.’
{15:7} I say to you, that there will be so much more joy in heaven over one sinner repenting, than over the ninety-nine just, who do not need to repent.
{15:8} Or what woman, having ten drachmas, if she will have lost one drachma, would not light a candle, and sweep the house, and diligently search until she finds it?
{15:9} And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying: ‘Rejoice with me! For I have found the drachma, which I had lost.’
{15:10} So I say to you, there will be joy before the Angels of God over even one sinner who is repentant.”

Pope Benedict XVI's last tweets:

"In these momentous days, I ask you to pray for me and for the Church, trusting as always in divine Providence."

"If only everyone could experience the joy of being Christian, being loved by God who gave his Son for us!"

"Thank you for your love and support. May you always experience the joy that comes from putting Christ at the centre of your lives."

Default Pope Francis' first tweet:

"Dear friends, I thank you from my heart and I ask you to continue to pray for me.
