Ron - do you think this has any meaning to the coming tribulation?

The process of the tribulation involves much suffering, but it also means that the Church becomes holier. That is why it is said to culminate in the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. So it is significant that the Pope will consecrate the world to the Immaculate Heart at the start of the tribulation.

The next WYD is planned to take place in Krakow, Poland in 2016. If the Warning occurs that year, it might be fitting for a day like this to take place there, for it is the home town of St. Faustina and, by that time, St. John Paul II, where the Divine Mercy devotion, as we know it, was born and then spread out throught the world.

From the Diary of St. Faustina:

"Before I come as the just judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort: "All light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the Savior were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day. " (Paragraph 83)

Perhaps this alludes to the Warning, since it is an act of God's Mercy, and comes before God coming as judge. Would also be especially relevant to the timing of Good Friday.

"This will take place shortly before the last day."

The last day is the day of the general Resurrection and general Judgment. So I don't think that event could pertain to the Warning.

"At the request of Pope Francis, Cardinal Jose Polycarp, the Patriarch of Lisbon, consecrated the Pope’s pontificate to Our Lady of Fatima on May 13, her feast day."
