Default unfaithful Cardinals and Bishops

this post on retired Cardinal Martini
http://abbey-roads.blogspot.com/2012...l-martini.html
reveals his rejection of Church teaching on homosexuality and civil unions.

I think that we do not really know how many Cardinals and Bishops in the world today are unfaithful, how many are heretics in their hearts and minds. It is certainly not a majority, but neither is the number small.

Default True pastoral care not served by silent pulpits

The link made mention of how true pastoral care is not served by silence.

My personal experience in Ireland is that I can never remember any priest or bishop using a pulpit to teach the true church position on homosexuality, contraception or abortion, with the singular exception of a very old, very faithful MMP (Marian Movement of Priests) priest. He regularly talks boldy and truthfully about everything but he is only preaching to the converted - the usual suspects, myself included, who attend his MMP weekly cenacle, which he has held for 30 years now. I have to drive one hour each way to hear such truth!

Hopefully, more priests will get the courage they need during this "Year of Faith" starting in October

Let's pray for the Holy Spirit to give them that strength
and to make this "Year of Faith" a success

Ron, thanks for posting. I agree with you 100%. I think there are many but not an over-whelming amount.

I pray for conversion of hearts everywhere, especially that Jesus will replace all hearts of stone and lukewarm hearts (in our bishops & priests) with hearts on fire for truth so that all our bishops & priests can more properly shepherd the flocks they have been given charge over. After all, Jesus convertes Saul. All things are possible through him.
