Default Syria crisis: Lebanese detention highlights faultlines

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-19200058

"Current Prime Minister Najib Miqati was quoted as saying that the detention was security-related but had nothing to do either with the locally-controversial international tribunal on the Hariri assassination, or the possibility of his being an Israeli agent."

Default Is Pope's Sept. visit going ahead?

Does anyone have any info. about the Pope's scheduled Sept. visit to Lebanon?
Has it been cancelled?
Has the normal detailed forward planning for it been happening?

Let us pray the trip is abandoned.

The trip is still on:

Sept 14 to 16.

My eschatological opinion is that the Pope will die this year. I don't know if he will die on this trip or not.

Thanks for update Ron.

We are constantly urged not to fear.
Have trust in God.
If the Pope goes we can be sure it is God's Will.
If harm was to come to the Pope I believe it would also be God's Plan.
However, I have faith that God's Plan will win out in the end.

We must pray for the Pope's safety but accept what God allows.
