In much the same way that Blessed Imelda's feast falls on Ascension Thursday this year...

Ron,

Another providential reason why the Warning and the Consolation would occur this year is that Easter celebrations all fall on the same dates this year for all Christians, especially from the Orthodox church. Given these supernatural events should occur on significant Christian feast days, so as to lead all Christians to the Catholic Church not away from it, this is fitting. Perhaps, this is why these events did not happen last year as it would have left out the Orthodox church who are closer to us theologically (i.e valid ordinations, theotokos, etc.) then any other Church.

Perhaps this has already been mentioned, but my friend also pointed out that May 13th was declared the feast of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in 1850. It has some connection to Julian Eymard, but I forget what it is just now.
