Default Greetings from the UK

Greetings all,

I'm a convert to the Catholic faith however I was born a Jehovah's Witness and came to the Church via Evangelicalism. A tough journey but a rewarding one!

I recently read Dons refutation of semi-Calvinism (Jimmy Akins modified TULIP) which really helped me clear up my thinking so i'll be looking forward to discussions relating to that subject.

On a personal note, i'm currently in recovery with a charity that helps alcoholics and i'm enjoying my 8 month of sobriety. There's many spiritual experiences that take place in recovery from people of varying belief systems so i'm also fascinated by the subjects relating to baptism of desire and contrition.

Looks forward to the discussions and God bless,

Pete
