Let us resolve to pray more frequently, to listen in the silence of our hearts to Godís voice, and to grow in union with the God who has revealed himself in Jesus Christ, with the One who is infinite Love."

I think this is very important in discerning one's vocation, but also, it is helpful to be sure about it according to how Divine Providence is leading us to; with concrete acts or happenings in our lives and with the help of His Church, our fellow brothers and sisters.

Christ is risen! so we can talk to Him every day.

And I would also like to ask you to benefit from the journey we shall be making in the forthcoming catecheses to become more familiar with the Bible, which I hope you have in your homes and, during the week, to pause to read it and to meditate upon it in prayer, in order to know the marvellous history of the relationship between God and man, between God who communicates with us and man who responds, who prays.

The Pope encourages us to read the Bible and meditate upon it in prayer, this also establishes a relationship between God and us and this is another way of how we can communicate with our Creator. God can talk to us through those readings and we can also talk to God familiarly.

Quote:
The first text on which we shall reflect is in chapter 18 of the Book of Genesis. It is recounted that the evil of the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah had reached the height of depravity so as to require an intervention of God, an act of justice, that would prevent the evil from destroying those cities.

Sometimes we require a special intervention from God for an issue (or issues) in our life to be accomplished; therefore, we should not lose our relationship with Him and ask Him, and converse with Him about our issues even though He knows everything beforehand.

Then the Pontiff talks about the effectiveness of intercession citing the example of the conversation between God and Abraham. Even though God is all knowing, He is Love and Mercy, we are His creatures and our participation is fundamental for the well being of love ones and even sinners. Therefore, the communion of the saints is very important. Has something very important or "good" ever happened in your life?... it could have happened because of the intercession of somebody (or some people) who prayed for you. Let's keep prayer and don't ever loose communication with God (that is literally the worst thing that can ever happen to us).
