Default Exultation and Veneration to the Virgin Mary is Biblical

MIRACULOUS INCARNATION OF JESUS:

[Isaiah]
{66:7} Before she was in labor, she gave birth. Before her time arrived for delivery, she gave birth to a male child.

Before she was in labor, she gave birth.

Before she was in "labor", she gave birth, this indicates that Mary had no physical "pain" during her pregnancy. Mary’s sufferings were spiritual, unifying herself to the sufferings of her Son, but she had not the usual physical pain of a pregnancy that women suffer.

Before her time arrived for delivery, she gave birth to a male child.

This passage also confirms that "before her time for delivery" arrived, meaning the usual way women give birth to children, she "happens" to give birth, this indicates that her Child was not delivered to this world the usual way all other women do, but that her Child was miraculously delivered to this world, her Child just appeared outside of her womb in an instant.

{66:8} Who has ever heard of such a thing? And who has seen anything like this? Will the earth give birth in one day? Or will a nation be born all at once? For Zion has been in labor, and she has given birth to her sons.
{66:9} Will I, who causes others to give birth, not also give birth myself, says the Lord? Will I, who bestows generation upon others, be barren myself, says the Lord your God?

This confirms the miraculous incarnation of Jesus in Mary’s womb through the Holy Spirit for God can do anything and with God anything is possible.

This passage is also telling us that Mary's Child is God: "Will I, who causes others to give birth, not also give birth myself, says the Lord?"


EXULTATION AND VENERATION TO THE VIRGIN MARY IS BIBLICAL:

{66:10} Rejoice with Jerusalem, and exult in her, all you who love her! Rejoice greatly with her, all you who mourn over her!

God is calling us not just respect Mary, but to love and exult her!, His Mother. Anyone who rejects the Mother of God and of us let him be anathema.

{66:11} So may you nurse and be filled, from the breasts of her consolations. So may you receive milk and overflow with delights, from every portion of her glory.

The blessings a person can receive from God through Mary's intercession are limitless.

{66:12} For thus says the Lord: Behold, I will turn a river of peace toward her, with an inundating torrent: the glory of the Gentiles, from which you will nurse. You will be carried at the breasts, and they will caress you upon the knees.
{66:13} In the manner of one whom a mother caresses, so will I console you. And you will be consoled in Jerusalem.

God and Mary will console us. It is a great joy to to go God through Mary. St. Louis de Montfort said it is "the easiest and shorter way".

{66:14} You will see, and your heart will be glad, and your bones will flourish like a plant, and the hand of the Lord will be known to his servants, and he will be angry with his enemies.

There you have it, the infallible Word of God is telling us to go to Mary, our Blessed and loving Mother.

Thank you, Brother, for that lovely post.

When meditating on the nativity of the Lord, I always visualized that Mary did not have a regular birth. But I thought that since Eve came from the side of Adam, that perhaps Jesus (the new Adam) came from the side of Mary (the new Eve). Just what came to me while meditating on the rosary over the years.

It didn't seem that she would suffer the pains of child birth as she was born without original sin (and the pains of child birth being a consequence of Eve's sin). It seemed to me that she would be kept perfect (in tact??) and that this would most definitely be a miraculous birth. It's just how I liked to visualize this during these joyful mysteries.

There are also other Biblical supports for calling upon Mary, our mother, and that she actually is the mother of faithful Christians. Stay tuned.

Through Sacred Scriptures we see that the mother of the kings of the Jewish people were very important for they are mentioned with a name. If they were not important, the sacred writers wouldn't have mentioned the mothers of these kings.

Some of these kings and their mothers were very sinful, some other less sinful, but the fact that their mothers were mentioned, tells us of the significance of their position that they have for the Jew.

Bathsheba, the mother of king Salomon, had an important place in the kingdom.

[1 Kings]
{2:19} Then Bathsheba went to king Solomon, so that she might speak to him on behalf of Adonijah. And the king rose up to meet her, and he reverenced her, and he sat down upon his throne. And a throne was stationed for the mother of the king, and she sat at his right hand.

Then on the narratives of the kings after Solomon, we see that their mothers are mentioned:

{14:21} Now Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he had begun to reign. And he reigned for seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city that the Lord chose, out of all the tribes of Israel, so that he might place his name there. And the name of his mother was Naamah, an Ammonite.

{14:31} And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and he was buried with them in the city of David. And his mother’s name was Naamah, an Ammonite. And his son Abijam reigned in his place.


{15:1} Then, in the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, Abijam reigned over Judah.
{15:2} He reigned for three years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Maacah, the daughter of Abishalom.


{15:9} Then, in the twentieth year of Jeroboam, the king of Israel, Asa reigned as king of Judah.
{15:10} And he reigned for forty-one years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Maacah, the daughter of Abishalom.

{22:41} Yet truly, Jehoshaphat, the son of Asa, had begun to reign over Judah in the fourth year of Ahab, the king of Israel.
{22:42} He was thirty-five years old when he had begun to reign, and he reigned for twenty-five years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Azubah, the daughter of Shilhi.

[2 Kings]
{8:26} Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he had begun to reign, and he reigned for one year in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Athaliah, the daughter of Omri, the king of Israel.


And so on through the books of 1 and 2 Kings.

Was the mother of the King of kings important and has and an important position in the Kingdom of God? - Of course.

[Acts]
{1:13} And when they had entered into the cenacle, they ascended to the place where Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Jude of James, were staying.
{1:14} All these were persevering with one accord in prayer with the women, and with Mary, the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

Note that, at Pentecost, the Apostles were in the cenacle "with the women", that is a group of women who were present there as well. But then wait, it says "and with Mary, the mother of Jesus" the name of the mother of our King is mentioned, noticed the difference? If Mary were not important, then her name would not have been mentioned and she would have stayed within the group of "the women". But she IS mentioned to point out the importance that she has in the Church of her Son.

The mother of the King of kings has a high place of honor in the Kingdom of Heaven, seated at His right hand:

[Psalm]
{44:8} You have loved justice and hated iniquity. Because of this, God, your God, has anointed you, before your co-heirs, with the oil of gladness.
{44:9} Myrrh and balsam and cinnamon perfume your garments, from the houses of ivory. From these, they have delighted you:
{44:10} the daughters of kings in your honor. The queen assisted at your right hand, in clothing of gold, encircled with diversity.

Regarding our Mother's virginity:

Before giving birth:

[Isaiah]
{7:14} For this reason, the Lord himself will grant to you a sign. Behold, a virgin will conceive, and she will give birth to a son, and his name will be called Immanuel.

If a virgin conceives the natural way and looses her virginity at conception, then it is not a sign a all. That happens to all women. The sign is that 'a virgin' conceives keeping her virginity. Notice that prophet Isaiah talks about "a virgin" and makes a connection "and" she will give birth a son.

The prophet does not say: "The virgin will conceive" [period]. He says that the virgin will conceive, "and" will give birth to a son..."

A sign is something out of the ordinary to call people's attention. Otherwise, it is not a sign at all.

If you are lost somewhere and want to call people's attention in order to rescue you, you need to create a sign of some sort; otherwise, people will not be alerted regarding your location. A sign is to call people's attention.

[Matthew]
{1:22} Now all this occurred in order to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
{1:23} “Behold, a virgin shall conceive in her womb, and she shall give birth to a son. And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which means: God is with us.”

It was fulfilled what God has said through prophet Isaiah.

Jesus came inside Mary's womb miraculously.

After Giving birth:

[Psalm 21] (22)
{21:8} All those who saw me have derided me. They have spoken with the lips and shook the head.
{21:9} He has hoped in the Lord, let him rescue him. Let him save him because he chooses him.

Here this Psalm is prophesying regarding our Lord Jesus Christ, those who derided and said "Let Him rescue Him, "Let Him save Him" were the leaders of the priests, the scribes and the elders who mocked our Lord (Matthew 27:41-44).

The Psalmist continues:

{21:10} For you are the one who has drawn me out of the womb, my hope from the breasts of my mother.
{21:11} I have been thrown upon you from the womb; from the womb of my mother, you are my God.

"For you" is referring to God. "God drawn Jesus out of the womb" means that this was not a natural birth taken by the hands of men, but by God Himself.

The way He came into His mother's womb, He came out, both by a miraculous intervention by God.

There is evidence that God is able to come in and come out of closed doors. Remember, He is God.
God is the 'Emmanuel', it is not His personal given name, but Matthew explains its meaning "God with us" (Matt 1:23).

[John]
{20:19} Then, when it was late on the same day, on the first of the Sabbaths, and the doors were closed where the disciples were gathered, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and he said to them: “Peace to you.”

{20:26} And after eight days, again his disciples were within, and Thomas was with them. Jesus arrived, though the doors had been closed, and he stood in their midst and said, “Peace to you.”

How did Jesus enter? Miraculously.

Prophet Ezekiel tells us:

[Ezekiel 44]
{44:1} And he turned me back, toward the way of the gate of the outer sanctuary, which looked toward the east. And it was closed.
{44:2} And the Lord said to me: “This gate will be closed; it will not be opened. And man shall not cross through it. For the Lord, the God of Israel, has entered through it, and it shall be closed
{44:3} to the prince. The prince himself will sit at it, so that he may eat bread before the Lord; he will enter by the way of the vestibule of the gate, and he will depart by the same way.”

The O.T. Temple was a foreshadow of the fulfillment who is Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:17). Mary is becomes the Sanctuary of God. Man cannot cross because only God has entered through it and is closed.

Now, let's look at what St. Luke teaches us:

[Luke 1]
{1:1} Since, indeed, many have attempted to set in order a narrative of the things that have been completed among us,
{1:2} just as they have been handed on to those of us who from the beginning saw the same and were ministers of the word,
{1:3} so it seemed good to me also, having diligently followed everything from the beginning, to write to you, in an orderly manner, most excellent Theophilus,

Notice that everything that Luke writes in his Gospel, is the product of his personal investigations and what the early Christians told him. Luke did not have an encounter with Jesus. He started to write his Gospel over 20 years after Christ's Ascension and wrote what he was told by the early Christians.

Now let's see what the early Christians told him. What was the teaching of the first Christians? What did the first Christians told him?:

{1:26} Then, in the sixth month, the Angel Gabriel was sent by God, to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
{1:27} to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the name of the virgin was Mary.

Notice that the early Christians did not tell Luke that the Angel went to see "Mary" but to a "Virgin" betrothed to Joseph. Doesn't seem odd that a woman is known by being called "a virgin" instead of her actual name?. Luke then explains that the 'name' of the virgin was Mary. But the early Christians called the mother of Jesus 'virgin'. Per ancient Jewish custom, a betrothal was not just an engagement but the first stage of an actual Marriage. The angel tells Joseph to go and see his "wife" (Matthew 1:20). Yet, the early Christians told Luke that the Angel went to see a married 'virgin'.

More than twenty years after Christ’s Ascension, the early Christians told Luke that the Angel was sent by God to a 'Virgin'. Since Luke is a good investigator, he has to explain to Theophilus (and us) that the name of the 'Virgin' was Mary (also, it’s very likely that Luke knew Mary personally).

Why was so important that the early Christians called Mary 'Virgin'? Because IF Mary was not a virgin, Jesus is not the prophesized Messiah. The Messiah must have come from a virgin. There was a big problem if Jesus did not come from a virgin. The early Christians told Luke the truth about the Messiah.
