Default Catholic College threats to shut down

rather than comply with the HHS contraception mandate

http://blog.cardinalnewmansociety.or...o-hhs-mandate/

"In a press conference explaining Belmont Abbey College’s lawsuit against the federal government over the Affordable Care Act’s mandate that Catholic institutions provide coverage of contraceptives and sterilization procedures, College President Bill Thierfelder said he would rather close the college before submitting to the mandate"

My suggestion is that Catholic institutions practice civil disobedience, and refuse to do either: refuse to provide contraception, abortifacient contraception, direct sterilization, and also refuse to shut down. If we shut down all Catholic institutions when faced with this type of pressure, the next 'institution' that we would have to shut down would be the Church.
