Default Be Fruitfull

The new springtime brings forth a rainy storm
With a gust of wind I was sent into flight
A soft safe landing in the soft soggy soil
There, settling in, becoming firmly planted
Upon fertile ground I spread my roots
Young, vulnerable, weathering many a storm
Reaching a ripe age of blossoming fertility
Bringing forth an abundance of healthy fruit
Season after season, year, after year, after year
Then the hour glass of life flips upside down
Shedding prematurely the vibrancy of my youth
Showing the signs of time barren and fruitless
Limbs of age, brittle, cracking, and shearing
Minimizing in mass seemingly in no time at all
Without warning comes forth a violent storm
Weakened and not filmily rooted as in my youth
With a gust of wind I was sent into flight
A fierce violent landing in the soft soggy soil
I now lay horizontal, truly in opposition of life
Glancing over one last time I was amazed to see
The gift of life in the form of a tiny baby tree
My life quickly flashing before my very eyes
Thoughts racing past of the many years gone by
My last thought in life was for that tiny baby tree
Stand tall in life, be fruitful, and I will guarantee
Lying horizontally; you have fulfilled your destiny
