Default Jesus is the Only Mediator

Is the following statement correct regarding the roles of Jesus and the Saints on salvation?:

An understanding of the Trinity, the Triune God, is important, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus is the only Mediator between us before the Father (1st Person); but, through prayer, we can ask Mary and the Saints to intercede for us before Jesus (2nd Person).
John 3:27; John 15:5; Matthew 19:26
