Default Are the Catechism and the Compendium Magisterial documents?

Hi Ron,

Popes St. JP2 and B16 have approved the Catechism and the Compendium of the CCC respectively. The Bishops in communion with the Pope also approve. Just checking if these documents can be termed "Magisterial Documents"?
