Default lie, theft or nothing (expropriation)?

Hi Ron,

Question regarding this situation:

A man's working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm (1 hour lunch so it's 8 hours a day).

One day this man arrives late at 8:30am but nobody at work realizes or cares; but this man decides to compensate the 30 minutes that he arrived late by working until 5:30pm (so he worked his 8 hours).

However, when it's time to file his time report, he submits the day that he arrived late: "8am to 5pm" as if he did not arrived late in order to keep his job.

Is this immoral before God for not stating the truth in the time report?

This seems like mental reservation to me. He worked from 8 to 5 very approximately. He worked his required shift (though moved forward a half hour), and that shift is represented by the expression 8 to 5.

It is also important to note that he did nothing morally wrong in working those hours and being paid for his time.
